Rental Terms and Conditions
What you can expect from us, and what we need from you while you have our knee scooter.
Last updated: September 20, 2026
Please read these terms before you book. They explain what you can expect from us and what we need from you while you have our knee scooter.
Who these terms are between
These terms are between you, the person making the booking, and MobilityNearMe.com “Operated by Stellar Medical Supplies LLC” (“we”, “us”), a knee scooter rental service delivering across Broward County, Florida. By placing a booking you agree to these terms.
You must be 18 or older to book. If the knee scooter is for someone else, such as a child or a relative, you are responsible for how it is used during the rental.
Booking and payment
- Your booking is confirmed when your payment goes through and we send you a confirmation email.
- Knee scooters are rented by the week. One week is the shortest rental, and any part of a week counts as a full week.
- You pay the full rental price when you book. There is no damage deposit and nothing extra is held on your card.
- The price shown before you book is the price you pay, including delivery and collection within our service area.
Delivery and collection
- We need at least 24 hours notice before your delivery date.
- We deliver to the address you give us within our service area and adjust the knee scooter to the rider’s height before we leave.
- An adult should be there to receive the knee scooter. We may ask to see photo ID at delivery.
- If nobody is there when we arrive, we will contact you to arrange another time.
- We collect the knee scooter from the same address on your return date. Please make sure it is ready and someone can hand it over.
- If the knee scooter is not available for collection on your return date and the rental has not been extended, each extra week is charged at the standard weekly rate. We will always contact you before charging.
Using your knee scooter
- Use the knee scooter only for its intended purpose, by the rider it was fitted for.
- Check the brakes and fit before each use, and do not use it on stairs or steep slopes.
- Do not lend, sell or rent the knee scooter to anyone else.
- Do not try to repair or modify it. If something is wrong, stop using it and contact us.
- Keep it clean, dry and stored indoors, and let us know before taking it outside Broward County.
Damage, loss and theft
You are responsible for the knee scooter from the time we deliver it until we collect it. Normal wear from everyday use is expected and is not charged.
If the knee scooter is damaged beyond normal wear, lost or stolen during your rental, you agree to pay the reasonable cost of repairing it, or of replacing it if it cannot be repaired. We will show you what happened and what it will cost before we charge anything, and we may charge the card used for the booking.
If the knee scooter is stolen, please report it to the police and send us the report number.
Cancellations and refunds
Our Cancellation and Refund Policy explains how to cancel, how returning early works and how refunds are paid.
Extending a rental
You can ask to keep the knee scooter longer before your return date, from My Rentals or by replying to your confirmation email. Extensions depend on availability. Each extra week is charged at the standard weekly rate. There is no extension fee. We confirm the new price with you before anything is charged.
Suitability and safety
We publish each model’s details to help you choose, and we are happy to talk through the options. We do not give medical advice. Please follow your doctor’s or therapist’s guidance about which knee scooter is right for you and how to use it safely.
Our responsibilities
Every knee scooter we deliver has been cleaned, inspected and is in good working order. If it develops a fault that is not caused by misuse, we will repair or replace it as quickly as we can at no cost to you.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by misuse of the knee scooter, by not following these terms, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the law that cannot be limited. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Your personal information
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you book and how we use it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your rental are the ones published on this page when you made your booking.
